Susan has written on end-of-life care and has spoken on topics including care of those with dementia and terminal illness, and caring for the caregiver. Her work has been featured in Time Magazine, Business Week, The Washington Post, Washington Woman Magazine, and Nursing Spectrum Magazine.

A graduate of the Marymount University School of Nursing, Susan also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University.
